ORDINANCE NO.  2007- 02 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FARLEY, IOWA , BY AMENDING CHAPTER FIVE – UTILITIES – BILLING CHARGES, SECTION 6-5-08 WATER RATES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FARLEY, IOWA:

            SECTION 1.    AMENDMENT.     Section 6-5-08 Water Rates, is hereby repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:

            6-5-08             WATER RATES.     Commencing with the August, 2007 billing, the following water fees shall be effective for water service rendered by the City of Farley to its utility customers as follows:

            The minimum charge shall be $15.00 quarterly which shall be based on the

            first 2,000 gallons.   Each and every gallon thereafter shall be billed at $2.00

            per thousand gallons.

            SECTION 2.  The passage of this ordinance authorizes the application of these rates for all future billing.

            SECTION 3.   The application of these rates shall be reviewed in July 2008 and amended if necessary.

            PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this      2nd      day of  July    , 2007.
