History Center Planning Meeting
The dream of a history center space will soon become a reality.

A community room within the new Farley municipal building is currently under construction and will be the site of our new history center.

The building will include a 30' x 37' room that will host displays, artifacts and will serve as a community meeting room and gathering space. Future plans are to have programming that will include rotating displays highlighting unique areas of Farley history.

The municipal building will also include a storage/office room for storing and archiving of local history items local residents wish to loan or donate.
A planning meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 15 will invite community members to help with the planning for the spaces. Possible committees that will need volunteer help include facilities, programming, archiving, communication, and finance. The meeting will began at 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall and will include a sneak peak tour of the rooms at the municipal building currently under construction.

About Us

The Farley Area Historical Society was established on April 20, 1995.

The first completed project was "The History of Farley" published in 1996. We have volumes of history to preserve, resulting in a need to build a "Historical Museum."

Meetings are on the second Monday of every month at Memorial Hall.

Any donations or contributions of historical data, photos or items are welcome. For more information, please call 563-663-0937 or email [email protected]. Together we can reach our goals!
