Downtown Farley Planning

We are down to our final public input meeting and opportunity to offer input in the future of downtown Farley, including your ideas on a future library, post office and any other space ideas to help Move Farley Forward.

Join us on Tuesday, November 30 at 6 p.m. at the Farley Memorial Hall for this meeting. See drawing examples and results of voting on what options are the most popular. Your input will help determine the recommendations presented to the Farley City Council at their December 15th council meeting.

On Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16, there were all-day planning "Spark" workshops held at the Farley Municipal Building. See the results of the Farley Spark planning workshops. BRING YOUR OPINIONS ON WHICH OPTIONS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE to the November 30th meeting.

Dubuque County Library Services in Farley

The Farley Branch of the Dubuque County library offers weekly hours at the Farley Municipal Building, Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am-1:00 pm. During these hours, patrons can browse a small collection, pick up and place holds, and receive assistance from library staff.

An outdoor book drop is available outside the Farley Municipal Building so that materials can be returned at any time.  Since the book drop will not be checked daily, these materials may not be checked in on the day they are returned.

In-person library programs will be offered in Farley at the city park as weather allows and at the Farley Municipal Building.  Visit the library's website,, for more information on upcoming programs.

Members of the Farley community are also invited to frequent any of the other Dubuque County Library branches:  Asbury, Peosta/NICC, and Holy Cross, and to call the Asbury Branch at 563-582-0008 with any questions or concerns.
